Boonie Babies Saipan

A nonprofit on the U.S. territory of Saipan that rescues the descendant of abandoned bomb-sniffing dogs who were used by the U.S. military during World War II. Facing health challenges without local veterinary care, the organization rehomes, conducts spay/neuter drives, and arranges off-island medical care to address overpopulation of the strays that have negatively impacted Saipan's wildlife, coral reefs, livestock and citizens. There is an estimated 25,000 stray dogs on the island of less than 50,000 people.
